In early autumn 1998 the Secretariat, with assistance from the DoH's estate management branch, viewed several buildings. In selecting suitable premises consideration was given to the following:
35 The premises selected consisted of three floors at 2-10 Temple Way, Bristol. The accommodation provided two floors of office space and a floor for use as a hearing chamber, with accommodation for participants, members of the public and the media. 36 The office space required little alteration, other than the erection of partition walling and the installation of cabling to support the IT infrastructure.
